Since October 2011 has been Czech Membrane Platform (CZEMP) implemented project of European Social Fund and the state budget of the Czech Republic. The project is aimed at education of university students and teachers (excluding Prague) and researchers of innovative companies.

In the year 2012 CZEMP organised two seminars concerning the membrane processes. Two-day seminar dealing with the separation of gas and vapor was held in Prague in May. The participants had the opportunity to visit the laboratories of the Institute of Chemical Process Fundamentals. In September CZEMP continued with the seminar - Pressure membrane processes which took place in Pardubice. The theme was met with great interest of students from different technical universities in the Czech Republic.

The aim of the project is to build project office and ensure financial independence of the Czech membrane platform. The project office will provide services to member ogranisations as well as to the other clients. In 2012 CZEMP arranged several cources concerning on the topics related to the Project management, Human resource management and Intellectual property. These courses were attended by the deputies of member organisations and by CZEMP employees. They helped to enhance the potential of joint research and development projects.

The international cooperation is one of our priorities. CZEMP is a member of European Membrane House (EMH) and associated member of European Membrane Society (EMS). Our representatives attended the General Assembly of EMH and were present at the meeting of EMS Council. Two experts of CZEMP participated in international conference EUROMEMBRANE which was held in London in September 2012.

The international conference Elmempro was organised by CZEMP and International society of electrochemistry as the satellite meeting of the 63rd Annual Meeting of the International Society of Electrochemistry. It was held in Český Krumlov in August 2012. The topic of the symposium was Electromembrane Processes and Materials. The main aim of this event was to bring together experts active in various disciplines of this research field and thus to promote a discussion of the challenges and solutions from various viewpoints. According to the reactions af the participants we may claim that the aim was fulfilled.

We will continue in our activities in the year 2013.
